It feels right to acknowledge Grandma Brandt's awesomeness on this blog. She was mom, Gram, and Bird. I have no idea what purpose this blog will serve in the long run, but during this time of grief and adjustment, I would just like to say that not everybody has sweet, supportive grandparents on all sides of the family, and I am lucky to be in such a good, functional family. At one time I had 6. Now I have 3.
